CIRCE is an internationally renowned technology centre located in Zaragoza, dedicated to improving the competitiveness of companies by generating technology transfer, through R&D&I activities and market-oriented training, within the field of sustainability and resource efficiency, energy networks and renewable energies. CIRCE's purpose is to anticipate and transfer technological solutions for their sustainability and competitiveness.
ACEA is a multi-utility company in Northwest Italy, serving 47 municipalities and around 150,000 residents. Its core services include biowaste treatment via anaerobic digestion, natural gas distribution, and district heating. ACEA’s biogas plant is integrated with nearby facilities—landfill, wastewater, and composting—forming a model for circular waste management. The company supports sustainable energy and efficient resource use through its connected infrastructure.

Envipark SpA is a technology park in Turin, Italy, promoting environmental innovation and sustainability. It hosts around 70 companies, operates pilot-scale facilities, and employs 30 experts in green technologies, hydrogen, and green chemistry. Envipark co-manages the CLEVER Cluster, supporting over 160 partners—mostly SMEs—in delivering green innovation. With strong local ties and expertise in circular economy, Envipark contributes to decarbonisation through waste and biomass valorisation.

Within CERNET, ADM Bulgaria supplies biogenic CO₂, ADM Hamburg hosts pilot facilities and conducts testing and LCAs, while ADM Bazancourt contributes global market data—together supporting circular bioeconomy and decarbonisation efforts.
NIC is Slovenia’s leading research institute, with over 400 researchers across 8 departments and 3 infrastructure centers. Its work spans materials science, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and environmental protection, supporting industries like pharma, automotive, and nanotech. NIC aligns with EU priorities in Horizon 2020, contributing to innovation in health, climate, energy, and sustainable development through advanced research and pilot-scale testing.
Acies Bio is a European biotech company developing sustainable microbial production processes for pharma, food, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Using its SmartRoute platform—combining synthetic biology, strain engineering, and precision fermentation—Acies Bio has scaled innovative bioproducts with global partners. The company focuses on sustainability and advanced bioprocessing to deliver impactful solutions across industries.
Bodega Matarromera is a family-owned winery group in northwest Spain, known for innovation and sustainable practices. Its Emina Ribera Winery is a pioneer in renewable energy use, including biomass and solar power. BMAT was the first Spanish company to certify its wine carbon footprint and actively leads climate initiatives through the Wineries for Climate Protection consortium. The company focuses on producing natural, healthy products while promoting regional social and environmental development.
La Galera, now operated by Biofertilizantes CH4 (Ence Group), is an organic waste treatment plant in Spain processing up to 36,000 tonnes annually via anaerobic digestion. The facility spans five hectares and produces up to 50 GWh of biomethane per year. With sustainability certifications, it also aims to produce compost and organic fertilizers. Drawing on Ence’s pulp mill expertise, the plant is improving environmental performance, including odour reduction and compliance with EU standards.

The BETA Technology Centre at the UVic-UCC is a research and knowledge transfer centre focused on developing innovative solutions to promote the sustainability of rural areas. Its work covers key areas such as circular bioeconomy, sustainable management of natural resources, industrial decarbonization, and climate change adaptation, through applied research with strong territorial impact and international collaboration.
Tecnopackaging is a SME located in Zaragoza, Spain. It is specialized in R&D&I in the field of advanced polymeric materials and their transformation processes. Its activity is focused on the development of new sustainable materials and products, using raw materials of both bio-based and recycled origin. These new materials and products are mainly designed for the agri-food and cosmetics industry, covering, from innovation, the entire spectrum of the circular economy.

DReVen, a spin-off of DRAXIS Environmental SA, is a Greek SME specializing in environmental science and ICT. With expertise in circular economy, climate resilience, and air quality, DReVen delivers consulting and develops monitoring tools. Building on DRAXIS’s Horizon project experience, the company excels in LCA, impact assessment, and sustainability analysis. Its multidisciplinary team drives innovation in climate risk and waste management, supporting policy design and resilient systems.
ENCO is a Naples-based consulting firm specializing in research and innovation support since 1987. With deep expertise in EU funding programmes like Horizon Europe and PRIMA, ENCO helps partners prepare and manage R&I projects, offering strategic guidance in communication, exploitation, and funding. Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is the national cluster for food and bioresources in Denmark, driving innovation and sustainable growth across the bioeconomy. The cluster leads CERNET’s communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities. With strong networks and expertise in stakeholder engagement, branding, and outreach, the cluster ensures visibility and impact. It connects industry, academia, and policy to accelerate circular solutions and support replication across sectors.
